Hello my name is Katie Ward. I started at Freemantle Nursery in

September 2025.

I started my teaching journey at the University of Winchester studying

Primary Education with a specialism in History.

I graduated in 2021 where I became an EYFS teacher over in Bitterne. This is now my 2nd year here at Freemantle, and I am loving every second. I am key person for Squirrel group. I like cats and the colour green. 

Hello my name is Joanne Seymour. I have worked at Freemantle for 12 years. My favourite animals are cats and rabbits. My favourite colour is purple. I am very excited to be key person for Foxes group this year!

Hello, my name is Emily Nicholls. I’m a key practitioner of squirrels group  🐿️  I am a learning support assistant in Nursey! This is my first year in nursery, but my 3^rd year working at Freemantle☺️. My favourite colour is pink and my favourite animal is a cat 🐱 I actually have a pet cat called George. He is named after the character from Peppa Pig as my son thought it suited him. 

Hello, my name is Ruby Chan. I have been working at Freemantle CE Academy after the completion of my training here. I enjoy working with children as I always appreciate their curiosity, creativity and energy.  I feel humble and grateful to be part of their learning journeys. Outside of working time, I like reading, cooking and spending time with my family and friends.

Hello, my name is Phoebe Powell. I am key person for Rabbits group.

I like cats, making play doh and spending time with my daughter.

I am excited for this year with the nursery team!

Hello, my name is Jolanta Harnaszkiewicz. 

The children call me Mrs Jolanta.

I speak two languages, Polish and English.

As well as being in nursery this year, I run art therapy sessions at Freemantle. In my spare time I love creating art and cooking.

This is my 2nd year at nursery and I am looking forward to being a key person for Rabbits group again this year!
