Pupil Leadership Team

Meet our Pupil Leaders

Our Pupil Leadership Team was formed in July 2022. After reading carefully written applications and then a series of group interviews, a new team was chosen to lead the pupils across the Academy.

The team meet weekly to discuss how they will lead the Celebration Assembly. They have developed the 'Ready, Respect, Safe' weekly award system that encourages all classes to focus on ensuring that they are ready for learning, that they are evidencing respect for their surroundings and the whole Freemantle community, and that they are safe in their learning behaviours and in all that they do whilst at school. The Pupil Leadership Team have also been inspirational in leading weekly positive affirmations - which they believe to be important in the promotion of positive mental health. Where possible they introduce new initiatives to support pupil welfare such as some posters to help children think about the impact of things they say to each other.

They compose a weekly prayer and also encourage children to share their successes outside of the school environment.

The Team led a poignant Remembrance Day service in November and supported the Senior Leaders in developing a tribute to Queen Elizabeth II.
