We would like to say that we are so proud of all of our pupils and their resilience and attitude in what has been a difficult year and a half, thanks you wonderful children you are FAB. A special mention to the year 6 pupils who leave us today; we sincerely wish you the very best as you move to secondary school, but offer an open invitation if any of you would like to come and see us in the future......... keep us informed of how things are going. Stay safe over the summer period and we look forward to seeing everone back on Thursday 2nd September- bright eyed and bushy tailed. .................. please keep an eye out for parentmails during the summer break as there is lots to share with you all........................Let us hope that next year is 'normal' and that we can enjoy being together in class and in school. Thanks to all the parents that have worked so hard to help their children through lockdowns, both academically and emotionally...........we know how difficult it was. Stay safe!

World Book Day Great Book Swap

World Book Day is an annual event that celebrates children’s books and reading. More information can be found at www.worldbookday.com.

We are holding a book swap to promote children’s love of books and reading as part of our celebrations of this important day. As love of reading is an important part of the new curriculum and they will be putting into practice lots of skills we have been teaching them this is a valuable experience. Best of all as the children will be swapping books they’ve already read it’s free!

You can start to bring in books for the Book Swap from Monday 29th February. There will be a box in the classroom for you to put them in. This will be clearly labelled “Book Swap”. Please help you child(ren) to ensure the books go into the correct box and that they write their name and number of books on the form so we know who to issue tickets to.

Children will be able to swap up to five books during their session. If you have any extra books you would like to donate that would be amazing. Larger donations can be left in the school office or brought to Mr. Parsloe in the library,

If we have any leftover books at the end of the day we will hold a book sale. The books will cost 20p each and the money raised will go to the Readathon charity. Look out for details of this year’s Readathon challenge which is being launched soon.
