We continue to be amazed at how well the children have settled, well done to all our fab pupils. As restrictions lift nationally, the academy will also look to 'ease' some areas. This will be done in a careful and progamatic way. We will not put pupils and staff at risk. The academy will remain vigilant, and we ask that parents do the same and support us to continue to get things back on 'an even keel'. As the children are settled, we will now be implementing the LA and national guidance on absence and lateness......thank you for your support in getting the children to school and on time, it helps them to settle in the morning and helps us to support their learning.

We Need Your Old Batteries!

Yes, you read that correctly. Freemantle is taking part in the national 'Big Battery Hunt'. This is a nationwide campaign to help raise the importance of recycling and as a committed Eco School we feel that we need to support this initiative.

Each child from year 1 upwards will be given a collection box for AAA, AA, C and D batteries. When it is full, the box contents will be counted for your child's score and added to the whole school collection. As this is a national campaign there are plenty of prizes on offer, not only for the school but for individual recycling champions. The boxes can be re-used as many times as possible between now and 20th April 2018, so why not make it a family effort?

Thank you for your support in advance.
