Important information

PE lessons will take place on Tuesday afternoons.

The children will need to bring in a PE kit and these should be in the Freemantle colours (red or blue- black is also acceptable). Please ensure they can run in the shoes they are wearing (e.g. trainers)

Reading Records

You should be reading with your child daily, even if they are a confident reader, it is vital that you still read with them. Children often come across words they do not know and so will often give up and skip, if they are reading with an adult this is picked up on and discussed. Children copy how you read and follow your intonation and expression. The list goes on.

As a result, we are no longer doing the CGP reading books but instead expect every child to be read with by an adult each day for 10-20 minutes. This should be recorded in their Reading Record which will be checked every Friday by Mrs Stichbury or Mr Jolly.

Every Friday, children will be tested on their spellings that were sent home to you.

Every Thursday, the children will do Times Table Rockstars.
