We would like to say that we are so proud of all of our pupils and their resilience and attitude in what has been a difficult year and a half, thanks you wonderful children you are FAB. A special mention to the year 6 pupils who leave us today; we sincerely wish you the very best as you move to secondary school, but offer an open invitation if any of you would like to come and see us in the future......... keep us informed of how things are going. Stay safe over the summer period and we look forward to seeing everone back on Thursday 2nd September- bright eyed and bushy tailed. .................. please keep an eye out for parentmails during the summer break as there is lots to share with you all........................Let us hope that next year is 'normal' and that we can enjoy being together in class and in school. Thanks to all the parents that have worked so hard to help their children through lockdowns, both academically and emotionally...........we know how difficult it was. Stay safe!

Home learning and transition activities

A big hello Nurture group from Mrs Martin, Mrs Haworth and Zog. We hope you are all keeping safe with you families and have been enjoying some of the lovely sunshine we have had.

We have been thinking about you all and wanted to share some activities with you to try at home. Hopefully in the next few days you will receive a letter from us with a puzzle piece picture inside. We would love for you to fill this with lots of things about you and the things you enjoy. Mrs Martin and I have completed one and added them here for you to see. When we get back to school we will connect all our puzzles pieces together to make one big happy Nurture group!
Hello Nurture group! we hope you are all well and staying safe with your families. We wanted to share an activity we thought you may like to do to help you look back on your time in Nurture group.

Nurture Memory Jar

Mrs Martin and I thought you may like to have a go at making your own memory jar, filled with all the memories of your time in Nurture group. Ask an adult to help you find an empty jar and some paper. Then write or draw memories on slips of paper to add to the jar. You may also like to add your photo or drawing of yourself or Zog to the front and make a label to describe what is in the jar. I added zog to mine and filled it with lots of lovely memories of the fun we have all had together.

Your memories could include some of the following ideas:

  • meeting Nurture group members and staff
  • meeting Zog
  • playing in the role-play, creative and carpet areas (choose your favourite activity)
  • snack time (what's your favourite snack?)
  • cosmic kids yoga
  • Just dance
  • cooking
  • favourite adult led activities
  • dressing up

We hope you have fun making your jars and would love to see the finished product so please share them on our Facebook page or email us a picture. Happy memory making. smiley

Story time with Zog

We hope you enjoy listening to Zog at home with you families.
