I’ll get my hands on your fortune if it’s the last thing I do,’the voice hissed. ‘And when I have it, I’ll kill you and your siblings with my own two hands.’ Violet gave a little cry of terror, but flicked the swich on . . .

No light  filled the room. No light was seen at all. The darkness, evil and wicked, seemed  to flood the Theatre like a horror movie. Violet could hear her own breathing and the silence that was in her nightmare. She could hear the footsteps of  the evil, wicked man that treated the children like slaves. The thin bitter air was stuck in the vast Theatre with nothing but the horrified Baudelaires, shaking with fear with their faces as white as ghosts. Violet reached out for her hair ribbon but with her hands trembling, she dropped it and remained out of sight.

Later trying to get the lights working, Violet felt something grab her. She knew it was him. She knew he was back.

‘Well, well, well, look who it is. Violet Baudelaire and you stupid siblings. You think you could get away that easily? Remember, I'm here to look after you and that's just what I’ll do!’  Count Olaf whispered, as he snarled to himself. Violet and her siblings were shaking in fear as goosebumps attached onto their skin. Once again, Violet flicked the switch but the darkness remained. She did it again but nothing happened.

‘You stupid girl,’ he said firmly, ‘You orthans wilkl be dead after you fortune is mine and only mine. Smell your blood yet?’

Violet froze and remained silent. She tried to say something but couldn’t. She was too scared.

‘Please just leave us alone. We have done nothing wrong and we didn’t deserve your punishments, ‘ Violet whispered, who was holding Sunny even more tighter than before.

The darkness continued to linger. Darkness continued to fill the room. Darkness filled each Bauldelaire’s memories. Violet tried to turn the light on and nearly turned on but didn’t. She tried again and still, the darkness was still there. Violet hammered on the light and cracked and fizzed before eventually turning on. ‘Yee Kah,’ Sunny shreaked, which probably means where is everyone?

All they saw was Justraus Strause.
