As restrictions are now NOT TO LIFT, the academy will look to 'reintroduce' safety measures where deemed necessary. This will be done in a careful and progamatic way. We will not put pupils and staff at risk. The academy will remain vigilant, and we ask that parents do the same and support us to continue to get things back on 'an even keel'. We continue to implement the LA and national guidance on absence and lateness......thank you for your support in getting the children to school and on time, it helps them to settle in the morning and helps us to support their learning.

Back to School social stories

Social stories are a good way to help children understand what is going to happen or what is expected of them in different situations.  If a child is feeling anxious about returning to school (Which is completely normal and understandable given recent circumstances.) reading a social story regularly prior to return will help them to process the idea that they will be coming back to school.

With the recent lockdown some children may be feeling anxious about leaving the house.  This social story is to help understand that feeling worried is ok, but also that it is ok for us to go outside of our houses again.
