We believe that every child can learn, achieve and thrive. Our teaching is designed to inspire curiosity, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning. We provide a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment where children feel valued, supported and encouraged to do their very best.
Our broad and balanced curriculum gives pupils the knowledge, skills and understanding they need to succeed. We have implemented a spiral curriculum that is carefully planned and builds progressively from one year to the next, ensuring that children develop secure foundations in reading, writing and mathematics alongside a rich range of subjects and experiences.
Our lessons are engaging, purposeful and appropriately challenging, encouraging children to ask questions, solve problems, work collaboratively and think independently. Teachers regularly assess learning and use this information to provide support for planning, allowing them to offer appropriate challenge and provide feedback that helps every child make progress.
We also recognise the importance of developing the whole child in a holistic way. Through our curriculum and wider school experiences, such as through our trips, we nurture creativity, resilience, independence, respect and positive relationships. We work closely with families to celebrate achievements, through our weekly Star of the Week and half termly Headteacher's Awards.
