Easter chick cupcakes

Ingredients

125g self raising flour

125g butter

125g caster sugar

1 tsp baking powder

2 eggs

few drops vanilla essence

 

Method

Pre heat the oven 190oc /gas mark 5

Using the all in one method, put the ingredients into a bowl and using an electric mixer whisk until creamy.

Divide between 12 cupcake cases

Bake in the middle of the oven for around 15-20 minutes.

Leave to cool before decorating.

For the buttercream frosting mix 75g butter with 100g of icing sugar.

Add yellow food colouring until required colour.

Using a piping bag with a large star nozzle, pipe swirls onto the cake. Add  chocolate chips for eyes and a small orange piece of card for the beak. You can also use some flake to create a nest affect.
